Muse a well -known brit rock band have recently finished a rather impressive stadium tour around the world. Having been an avid listener and dedicated fan I was especially pleased when Matt Bellamy anounced 'something different' and 'personal' was in order. Having watched the recent 

trailer for the new album '2nd law' my opinion changed dramatically.

Muse's beginnings were in the small town of Teignmouth in England and due to the isolation muse bloomed into a dark repressed teenage image. Their early work contained emotionally outstanding vocal performances and began the trial of 'radiohead-like' experimentation.

However , this time they may have gone too far! The band released information that DUB-STEP style music would be incorporated into their new album. This did not shock me at all as muse have used synthetic riffs and DUB-STEPesque sounds for quite some time. But their new trailer appears to be a let-down to their huge fan base. It seems to me that they are selling themselves out in order to become a mainstream hit. 

Whether this will DESTROY MUSE or make them a NEW-AGE WONDER can only be told by time.
